MVP development.

Your idea, built to win users.

I build your app from the idea to launch: on the web, on iPhone and Android, or both. You’ll work with me directly throughout, and no technical background is needed.

Web apps from £4,000. Mobile apps from £7,000.

Design, build and launch, all included; a mobile app is also tested on phones and taken through both app stores. Your fixed price depends on the features you need: a web app with sign-in, for example, is £5,000.

A good fit

Who this is for.

01

You have an idea, and nothing built yet

You know the problem and the people who have it. We start with the main thing your users need to do, and choose the features that make the app work well.

02

Your idea belongs on people’s phones

Your users live on their phones, and your app needs to be there too, with notifications, the camera or an icon on their home screen. It’s built for iPhone and Android and taken through both app stores.

03

People are already waiting for it

A waiting list, a prototype or people asking for it show the demand, and now it needs to be a real app they can sign up to, use and pay for.

How it works

The steps I take you through.

  1. I learn who your users are firstBefore anything is built, I get to know your idea, the people who will use the app, your market and your competitors, and advise on what to launch with.
  2. I find out what your future users search forBefore anything is designed, I research what the people you want as users type into Google, search for in the App Store and Google Play, and ask AI assistants like ChatGPT. Your pages, store listings and copy are built around it, so people can find your app.
  3. We decide on the features togetherI break each feature down into a clear specification, such as “a client books a session and pays for it”, and give you a link where you can see each one tested and passing as the project progresses.
  4. I design your app to win usersI work with your branding, or help you create it: the logo, colours, typefaces and a design system. Then every screen is laid out, with its buttons, instructions and messages, to guide visitors to sign up, book or buy.
  5. I build your appI plan how everything fits together, choose the services that suit your budget, and build everything securely. A mobile app is tested on real iPhones and Android phones. You also get a separate test version, so every change is checked there before it reaches your users.
  6. I launch your app with the tools to help you growI put a web app live, and submit a mobile app to the App Store and Google Play, handling what Apple and Google ask for. Once your app is live, you can see how people use it, and I get an alert the moment something breaks. We can also try two versions of a screen to see which brings in more revenue, so you decide what comes next from real data.

You get complete visibility at every step

From the first conversation, you get a project board and preview links, so you always know where your app is up to and can try out each feature as it’s ready. When a decision needs explaining, I send you a short video walkthrough.

How I work

Price, payment and support.

  • How payment works

You get a fixed price, agreed in writing before I start. You pay half up front and the rest when the work is delivered, and if you want to add something later, I price it first so there are no surprises.

  • Support after delivery

For 90 days after delivery, I fix any bug in what I built, free of charge, and you get handover notes any future developer can follow. After that, a maintenance plan can keep your app up to date.

Questions

Before we start.

Do I need a technical background?
No. Start with the problem you want to solve and a few examples. I explain every decision in plain English, and we agree what design work is included and what branding, words and images you’ll supply.
Should it be a web app or a mobile app?
A web app is used in a browser on any device and costs less to build. A mobile app lives on the phone, with notifications, the camera and an icon on the home screen, and goes through the App Store and Google Play. You can have both: a web version alongside a mobile app is priced as its own part of the build. We decide on the free call, from how your users will use it.
Will a mobile app work on iPhone and Android?
Yes. One app covers both, and I test it on both kinds of phone before it goes to the stores.
Will Apple and Google approve my app?
Apple and Google decide that. I prepare your listing, privacy details and submission to their guidelines, and I make the changes they ask for. Store submission is included when your quote says so.
How long will my build take?
It depends on what we are building, what you need to supply and when I can start. Your quote includes dates and review points. If time is tight, we can agree a smaller set of features to launch with.
Will I need to pay for other services?
Sometimes. Apple and Google each charge to publish a mobile app, and an established service for payments or email is often cheaper and more reliable than building your own. I only recommend the ones worth paying for, tell you what each will cost every month before we choose it, and never tie you to one provider.
When and where can we meet?
Calls are on UK evenings and weekends, and if you’re in London, I’m happy to meet in person.
Who owns the app?
You do. I set everything up in accounts you own from day one, including your App Store and Google Play accounts, and the code becomes yours when the final payment clears.
How do I know how well my app is performing?
Your app launches with analytics and monitoring in accounts you own. You can see how many people visit, sign up and pay, and where they drop off, and alerts tell me the moment something breaks.
